Full Circle Bamboo Flooring

Bamboo Flooring has recently become a Nevada favorite. Bamboo, while often grouped with hardwood floors, is actually made from a species of grass called “Moso.”

Most Bamboo Flooring is created from stalks of bamboo that are four to five years old. These stalks are then sliced into strips and woven or laid into planks. There’s a lot to learn and consider when choosing the right bamboo flooring but the professionals at Full Circle Flooring are here to help.

Why Bamboo Flooring?

It’s beautiful. The grain of bamboo, whether natural or amber-toned, makes it a distinctive, elegant, and subtle material for flooring. Bamboo can withstand a great deal of use without damage. It’s stronger even than oak, considered the most durable hardwood. It’s a grass, and it grows like one. Many species of bamboo can grow two feet or more a day. When it’s harvested, it need not be replanted, because it will grow a new shoot from its extensive root system. So bamboo renews itself readily.

It enhances the environment.

Farmed bamboo stabilizes the earth with its roots, preventing erosion. It takes in greenhouse gasses and produces oxygen. In fact 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stands of trees. It’s healthy. It’s efficient.
